Reading the site

You can read every story without an account. Kettle does not set its own tracking cookies. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data such as your IP address to deliver pages and block abuse.

If you subscribe, your email address is stored by Kit (kit.com), the service that sends the newsletter. We use it only to send Kettle emails. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Advertising

Kettle may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Fonts and embeds

Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files download.

Children

Kettle is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
